The American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana (ACLU) is committed to protecting and expanding the rights of all Hoosiers — including the right to vote.
In 2024, the ACLU launched a statewide voter education campaign to combat misinformation and remind justice-involved citizens that a felony conviction does not mean a lifetime ban from the ballot box. The message was clear and empowering: Yes, you can vote.
By leveraging community relationships and in-kind support, Hanok Media was able to stretch every dollar, ultimately saving the organization more than $20,000 in production costs. The result was a powerful, Emmy-winning PSA that aired across Indiana and reached more than 2 million people online in the weeks leading up to the midterm election.
Civic participation is a right, not a privilege. No one should be silenced by confusion or fear. This campaign was a reminder that every voice matters, and every vote counts.
